In 2012 I added webinars to the core competancy of LUCIMA STUDIO. The challenges for photographers attending group (or private) workshops have always been scheduling and physically coming to LUCIMA STUDIO in Los Angeles. For many photographers, the additional costs of flights, hotels, and rental cars can make entire workshop journey unaffordable. By producing live webinars, photographers can attend the online workshop from the comfort of their own home. And with the webinar rebroadcasts, photographers can watch at their convenience, rewinding, fast-forwarding, or just watching the rebroadcast as many times as they want. Additionally, the lower cost of the webinars are usually well within the budget of most photographers since there are no added costs of flight/hotel/rental cars to consider.
Several times a year LUCIMA STUDIO hosts live webinars. These experiences are no different from the group/private classrooms except that everything happens online! Historically we have used GoToMeeting and Google Hangouts where you access the meeting from your web browser. Is it complicated? If you can check your email online, you can access a LUCIMA STUDIO webinar live. There are specific dates and times for each live webinar so be sure to log-in before the webinar begins. By purchasing the live webinar, photographers also get unlimited access to the rebroadcast of the webinar once it has been edited and uploaded.
Webinar rebroadcasts are independent of the live webinars. There is no set time or date for rebroadcasts unlike the rebroadcasts on other websites. Originally I wanted to call them "Webinar Downloads" but technically you can't download the webinar. The files stream from www.lucima.com but you can pause, rewind, fast-forward and watch the webinar as many times as you want, whenever you want. The price of the rebroadcast is exactly the same as the live webinar.
